Meet Malhar Pandya: The Man with Acting Dreams

Early Life-

Malhar Pandya was born on 9th November in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He was born to a family of actors. His father Lakshmikant Pandya is a popular director, actor and lyricist in Gujarati Industry and his mother & sister also belong to Entertainment Industry. 

Malhar Pandya told us that “Many peoples have fear to face the camera but I was so familiar to all this that I had never faced any type of struggle with the camera, thanks to my parents who taught me acting basics at a very early age.”

The Start-

Malhar has never thought of being in this Industry but whenever he gets a chance to show up himself as an actor, he did it with all the love. He started his career as a child artist in Radio. Later he did his television debut at the age of 16 with Doordarshan’s popular daily soap Ek Daal Na Pankhi (Gujrati).

Also, he was awarded as Mr. Gujrat by winning a body-building competition in 1999.

Turning Point-

Since Malhar was also good at studies so he dropped acting totally after he completed his studies. After studies, he worked with many big companies as an employee but he was not satisfied with his work. When he shared this issue with one of his friends then that friend asks him “Bhai tu yeh to pata kar terko life me karna kya hai?”

Malhar believes that this question was the turning point of his life and then he came to Mumbai in 2007 to follow his passion.

The Journey-

After coming to Mumbai, he started looking for projects where he can prove himself. The second phase of his acting journey started with Colors TV’s Hamari Saas Leela in 2011. He had acted in many big shows including Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki, Suryaputra Karn, Naagin 2 and Ishqbaaz. According to Malhar, the best role he played till now was Hanuman in Zee TV’s Ramayana.

He told us that “To play Hanuman Ji is like dream come true for me and when I shared this with my family, they were very proud of me.”

(FYI…. Recently Malhar was seen in Aghori where he performed the role of Aghori Indra and many projects are lined up for him. So, we will be definitely going to see the best of Malhar in 2020✌️)

Plans for Bollywood-

Malhar worked in many Gujarati movies in the past including Premji: Rise of a Warrior and Romance Complicated. And when he was asked about plans for Bollywood, Why Not? came the immediate answer. He added, “If I get a chance to show my skills in Bollywood, I’ll definitely go for it.”

The Untold Love Story of Malhar & Priya-  

Most of you know that Malhar Pandya is married to singing sensation Priya Patidar. But do you guys know their love story? I am sure the answer will be NO…. but don’t worry guys we are gonna share you the beautiful love story of Pri-Har in the words of Malhar-

“I and Priya first met at the gym through a common friend. Since we both worked for the same show so I was very much interested to meet her. And when we first met, we had some casual talks and then we shared our numbers. For one year, we don’t have many conversations but one day when I saw her sad status, I immediately reacted and from that day we became good friends. Since we used to come to the gym at the same time so our bond is getting stronger day-by-day. We dated for nearly 3 years and then we decided to marry each other and I am really very thankful to have Priya in my life.”

Dream-

Malhar’s only dream is to become a very good actor. He told us that “I don’t expect much from other people but I want one thing in my life that whenever people talk about me they consider me as a good actor.”

lnspiration-

Malhar is a very big fan of Naseeruddin Shah. He thinks that Naseeruddin Shah is a very natural actor and the way he performs every role is outstanding. 

Struggle-

When asked about struggle, Malhar replied, “The biggest struggle in my life was to live alone in Mumbai. Just before I came to Mumbai, my parents shifted to the USA so they were expecting that I will come with them but I was very much sticked to follow my passion and that’s why I had to live here alone. But now when they see me on screen, they feel very proud of me.”

A Special Message-

Through our blog, Malhar wants to convey a very important message to all of us. He believes that “We are getting influenced by western culture (that’s good) but in the wind of westernization, we are forgetting our culture.” He added, “We’ve got one of the finest cultures of this world but the modern generation is losing that, our relations are getting weaker, we can speak English very properly but we are losing our mother tongue. If we will move like this, that day is not far when we will question our beliefs. So, the only thing I want from all my fans is to love our very own culture.”
